This is one of very few V8 Volante Aston Martins available today and it is truly delightful.
It is one of the finest examples to have passed through our hands. The V8 Volante LWB is one of a tiny batch of 62 built by hand at Newport Pagnell. It is painted in Galloway green, with sumptuous magnolia leather, inlaid walnut interior and green Wilton carpets. It has a dark green hood and is fully lined with unmarked magnolia alcantara. It comes with a full fitted magnolia leather hood cover. It is a classical Aston Martin colour scheme and sets off the elegant lines of the car to perfection. First registered on 1st January 2000, it has covered a mere 28,787 miles which is warranted.
The flagship model at a time when DB7 production was at its peak, this car new would have cost in excess of £180,000. It is the final output of a long tradition of coachbuilding at Newport Pagnell and is a product of many thousands of hours of labour by a group of time served highly skilled artisans.
Developed from the original Virage V8 Volante to its final form in 2000 as the long wheelbase Volante, it is a true four seat car. Designed for touring, it is equally at home cruising down the auto-route at an easy 110 mph and wafting gently along quiet country roads in supreme comfort. No sluggard, this model is quite capable of speeds in excess of 150 mph, yet with a supreme ride and handling integrity fully in the finest traditions of Aston Martin. On part throttle, the car is wonderfully quiet, yet on the move, has that unmistakable V8 snarl. The V8 engine develops 350 bhp and is mated to an automatic 4 speed gearbox.
Unmarked, this car is testimony to the meticulous care and attention lavished by the previous two owners. Her new owner will have the confidence that she has a recent Works Service history, but she will also come with the benefit of a full health check report.
The car comes with ABS brakes, 18 inch alloy wheels, full air conditioning and a CD/Cassette Alpine music system. It is difficult to imagine that we could ever again be able to offer such a fine example. Perfect for those wishing to tour, yet highly civilised and easy to live with, it is highly recommended.
