An increase in power output from 140 bhp @ 5,000 rpm to 162 bhp @ 5,500 rpm, front disc brakes, more rear leg-room, a new instrument layout, opening rear side windows and a new grille are among the changes that distinguish the MKIII version of the DB 2/4.
Autocar said of the car in 1957:
“The latest Aston Martin can be placed among the select group of the world’s fastest and safest cars. It also enjoys those indefinable qualities which are manifest as character, and which instill confidence and affection in the owner.” Qualities of character, confidence and affection that still apply to owning this great car today.
First registered in 1958, one owner has cherished this particular car since 1991 and it has a history file dating back to 1983 plus a MKIII instruction book.
In great condition, it looks absolutely fantastic in this traditional shade of Green with a Tan Hide interior. It drives & sounds like the true classic of the 1950’s that this car undoubtedly is.
