The “Oscar India” specification was introduced in October of 1978 and just 291 cars were built in a production run that ended in 1985. Visually, the former scoop on the bonnet gave way to a closed “power bulge”, while a spoiler was integrated into the tail. Most of these cars were fitted with the 3-speed auto transmission as featured here, and wood trim was fitted as standard to an Aston Martin for the first time since the 1950’s.
This particular LHD V8 is in excellent condition and the history includes documents from Aston Workshop, OSELLI and Nicholas Mee as well as old MOT certificates. Although this is a fantastic car to look at in a very stylish & sophisticated colour combination, it really should be driven before it can be fully appreciated.
