Introduced in 1977 as “The world’s fastest accelerating production car” the V8 Vantage had a 0-60 time of just 5.2 seconds, a figure that even today, over 30 years later, is hard to beat.
Aston Martin V8 Vantages always have an incredible presence, add to that the awesome colour combination of this particular car and the result is truly breathtaking. In Jubilee Silver with an ox-blood red interior it really is every inch the classic 1980’s Aston Martin; sophisticated and luxurious, whilst at the same time, bold and purposeful.
This particular ‘Series 2’ V8 Vantage was first registered in May 1984 and has an odometer reading of just 47,458. One of the very last Series 2 V8 Vantage saloons made, it comes with a comprehensive history file which indicates a high standard of maintenance.
The timeless lines feature unblemished paintwork augmented by an unspoilt original interior and fantastic ‘Ronal’ alloy wheels. Also included in the specification is a superb Alpine Hi-Fi & CD stacker.
This car has been known to us since 2001 and was sold by us to the present owner in 2006.

A brief history of the V8 Vantage:
The V8 Vantage was launched in 1979. Essentially the same in shape and size to the standard V8 Saloon, it came with a substantially up rated engine, modifications to the front panels, introduced a deep front spoiler and modified gearing. Performance was substantially improved with 0 –60 times being reduced to 5.2 seconds from 6.6, and 0-100 in 10.2 seconds. These are extremely rapid times even by today’s standards. The suspension was lowered and stiffened and brakes increased in size. Almost from the first car, the need for a rear spoiler became imperative. Tyre size increased to 255-50 /16.
The increase power came mainly from an increase in the size of the Weber carburettors, increased diameter valves to improve engine breathing with revised camshafts, improvements to inlet and exhaust manifolds and a larger bore exhaust.
