What is your job role at Aston Workshop?
I’m the Service Adviser and apart from dealing with the organisation of all service bookings, I’m also Miss Money-Penny for our Sales and Workshop Managers and look after our customer relations.
Where did you work before Aston Workshop?
I’m originally from Germany and an Art Historian by trade. Prior to working at the Aston Workshop I worked for a Fine Art Auctioneer in Munich and then as gallery manager for a contemporary Art Gallery in Newcastle. I find that the motivations between buying a fantastic work of art and an Aston Martin are not so far apart…
What’s the best part of your job?
Working for a medium sized company has the advantage of getting involved in all aspects of the business. I like having this diversity in my role.
I especially enjoyed having a German customer on the other line who complimented me on my nearly accentless German!
What car do you drive?
I’m driving a Skoda Fabia at the moment but feel much more comfortable on my mountain bike, which I believe, might actually be worth more than my car!
What is your favourite car?
Where it concerns Aston’s, I would definitely opt for the new V8 Vantage. While we were trained at the Aston Martin Factory at Gaydon we could test drive all current models. I enjoyed driving the V8 most, much to the worry of my manager, who was with me in the car, as I seemed to forget that there is a speed limit in the UK.
Where do you live?
As the crow flies about one miles from the Workshop, on a beautiful old farm.
What is your favourite food?
Any food that is freshly made. My favourite is probably roast pork – in fact it may be easier to ask what I don’t like.
Which songs would be on your driving soundtrack?
Oh, my music taste is very eclectic. It could be anything from Coldplay to System of the Down, Italian singer Gianna Nannini or classic Opera.
What do you keep in your glove compartment?
My sun glasses, though I can’t seem to remember, when I ever needed them since I moved here!
